The guest (not sure who he is) channels exactly what I feel when I hear commentators, both on the left and the right, declare the end of the world. The miracle of modern civilization has spoiled us rotten. We have no clue how incredibly lucky we are to be living right now.
(Incidentally, this is also the reason I want to smash Islamic fundamentalism: they are actively trying to destroy this miracle.)
